Pursuits
pur·suits n.
1. Activities, such as vocations or hobbies, engaged in regularly.
High on my list of pursuits this year:
Hiking the seven summits of Phoenix -
- Camelback Mountain (2,704 feet)
- South Mountain (2,660 feet)
- Piestewa Peak (2,608 feet)
- Shaw Butte (2,149 feet)
- North Mountain (2,104 feet)
- Lookout Mountain (2,054 feet)
- Shadow Mountain (1,928 feet)
I know -- these peaks are a bit less challenging than the "real" Seven Summits of the world (Mount Everest, Aconcagua, Denali, Kilimanjaro, Mount Elbrus, Vinson Massif and Mount Kosciuszko)…but you have to start somewhere. And, I'm back home before sunset.
